Information for Students Attending Actuarial Career FairThe UCSB Actuarial Club and the Department of Statistics and Applied Probability cordially invite you to attend the 2013 UCSB Actuarial Career Fair. Actuaries specialize in the evaluation of risk and are a vital part of the insurance and financial industries – this is a highly challenging and rewarding career. Event Details When: Thursday, October 10, 2013 Dress We recommend business attire, which means shirt and tie for men and comparable attire for women. You might want to bring a notebook for taking notes. Registration for the session: Meet the Companies 1:00pm -4:00pm Session "Meet the Companies" is free and open to all wishing to attend. To register, please complete an online registration form. Resume Guidelines You may bring copies of your resume to distribute. Your resume must be limited to one page only, in PDF format. (Please see samples here) Distinguish Yourself! Study up for the fair by viewing the list of employers and available positions. To view a full list, see the List of Participating Employers. Registration for the Exclusive Actuarial Club Hour Active members of the UCSB Actuarial Club are invited to participate in the Exclusive Actuarial Club Hour. To register, please complete an online registration form by Monday, September 30, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Registered participants are invited to submit resumes in advance for inclusion in the resume booklet sent to employers. Resumes must be submitted by Monday, September 30, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. For this session, business attire is required and you are expected to study the List of Participating Employers prior to the event.
