Travel Information

Santa Barbara is located along the border of Central and Southern California along the 101 Freeway and can be reached by car or plane.

To check out flights into Santa Barbara, please visit http://www.flysba.com/. The Santa Barbara Airport is located just minutes from UCSB and offers taxis and rental cars to help get you around.

To drive to Santa Barbara you can read the directions below, or find us on Google Maps. You can also use this map to get directions from your location. This map will take you directly onto our campus and leave you two hundred feet from out parking structure.

Table Material Unloading

For companies that are not having their table material shipped before the career fair date, we will have reserved spaces on the day of the event in LOT 8 for unloading your fair material.

Driving Direction to LOT 8 for unloading career fair material

HEADING NORTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 101

  1. Take the 217 Exit off Highway 101. It will take you right into the main entrance to the campus near the ocean.
  2. As you enter underneath Henley Gate, there will be one sign for Actuarial Career Fair companies for parking, and one sign pointing to the left for Actuarial Career Fair unloading/loading. Follow the sign pointing to the left for Actuarial Career Fair Unloading/Loading.
  3. At the roundabout, take the 2nd right to turn onto Lagoon Rd. Continue on this road.
  4. Make the 2nd right at the stop sign for UCEN Rd.
  5. Continue on UCEN Rd. until it ends, then make a left into LOT 8.
  6. There will be 4 parking spaces with RESERVED signs available for Career Fair use for unloading your material.
  7. Return the way you came to get back on UCEN Rd. and then take Lagoon Rd. back to the roundabout.
  8. At the roundabout take the 2nd right to enter on Mesa Rd. and head towards the parking.
  9. You can follow parking direction below from Mesa Rd.

HEADING SOUTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 101

  1. Take the Patterson exit.
  2. Turn left, and then get back on the 101 going North.
  3. Right away, you'll see the 217 exit towards UCSB. Take the 217 exit. It will take you right into the main entrance to the campus near the ocean.
  4. As you enter underneath Henley Gate, there will be one sign for Actuarial Career Fair companies for parking, and one sign pointing to the left for Actuarial Career Fair unloading/loading. Follow the sign pointing to the left for Actuarial Career Fair Unloading/Loading.
  5. At the roundabout, take the 2nd right to turn onto Lagoon Rd. Continue on this road.
  6. Make the 2nd right at the stop sign for UCEN Rd.
  7. Continue on UCEN Rd. until it ends, then make a left into LOT 8.
  8. There will be 4 parking spaces with RESERVED signs available for Career Fair use for unloading your material.
  9. Return the way you came to get back on UCEN Rd. and then take Lagoon Rd. back to the roundabout.
  10. At the roundabout take the 2nd right to enter on Mesa Rd. and head towards the parking.
  11. You can follow parking direction below from Mesa Rd.

Note: Once your company has unloaded your material, you will need to park in the designated LOT 18 Mesa Parking structure for the remainder of the event.

  8. Visitors must display a parking permit at all times while on campus.

Parking

Parking will be in LOT 18 "Mesa Parking Structure". Please check in at the information Kiosk in University Plaza to receive your permit.
